mindy & mitch ~ forecast says sunshine and sunflowers

Typically, second marriages want an intimate ceremony and nothing much more. However, this time around the bride and groom wanted to do it right. Although they still chose to do it on a smaller scale with under 100 guests, they still wanted those traditional first-time elements such as a beautiful venue, a rocking DJ, and a garden of flowers.

Being that both love spending time in, on and around the water, finding the right location was a crucial component. An oceanside wedding was their only preference, but an outdoor event can be tricky as one needs a back-up plan in case Mother Nature does not want to cooperate on the big day.

The nuptials needed to have the perfect backdrop rain or shine and a hotel conference room with no windows was not an alternative. Fortunately, The Pelican Grand Beach Resort in Ft. Lauderdale provided the best solution as both their ballrooms overlook the Atlantic Ocean, and their rooftop had the most exquisite views.

As luck would have it, after a week of the most horrific weather in South Florida, the newlyweds were given a gift from above. The most incredible day presented itself as they were surrounded by family, friends, and dozens upon dozens of the bride’s favorite bloom.

The extended forecast says that this couple will have many years of love, laughter, happiness, and sunshine ahead of them.
